1. About Vuma Pay
Vuma Pay (Pty) Ltd, registration number 2025/538583/07, (“Vuma Pay”, “we”, “our”, “us”) is a South African company that provides digital payroll, compliance, and communication tools for employers and domestic workers.

We are not a bank, financial advisor, or registered financial services provider. Our platform helps users automate payments and UIF declarations, but the legal responsibility for the accuracy and timely submission of all information remains with you, the employer.

1. Acceptance of Terms
By using the Vuma Pay app, WhatsApp service, or website (“Service”), you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into binding agreements under South African law to use this Service.
3. Service Description
Vuma Pay provides:
- Digital tools to help household employers manage payroll and compliance.
- Automated generation of UIF compliance forms (UI-8D, UI-19).
- A service to submit compliance forms to the Department of Labor on your behalf.
- Secure storage of payroll and employment data.

Vuma Pay does not:

- Hold customer deposits directly.
- Provide financial, legal, or tax advice.
- Guarantee approval or payouts from the Department of Labor or any other government body.
1. User Responsibilities
- You are solely responsible for ensuring all information you and your employees provide is accurate, complete, and up-to-date.
- You must keep your login credentials secure and are responsible for all activity on your account.
- Any misuse of the Service, fraudulent activity, or unauthorised data access may result in immediate account suspension or termination.
1. Beta Software Notice
You acknowledge that Vuma Pay is an early-release product (“Beta”). The Service is provided “as-is” and “as-available,” without any warranties. Services may be changed, interrupted, or discontinued at any time without notice. We are not liable for any outages, data loss, or system errors during this Beta phase.
2. Fees
Certain services may be subject to subscription or transaction fees, which will be clearly communicated to you before you incur any charges. We reserve the right to change our fees with 30 days’ notice.
3. Limitation of Liability
Vuma Pay is not liable for any losses or damages resulting from:
- Inaccurate or incomplete data submitted by you.
- Delays, rejections, or penalties from the Department of Labor or SARS.
- Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

Our absolute maximum liability to you for any claim will not exceed the total amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

1. Data Protection
Your personal information is processed according to our Privacy Policy and the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).
2. Termination
You may stop using the Service and cancel your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or any applicable law.
3. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any dispute will be handled in the courts of Johannesburg, South Africa.
